The Norwegian Seafood Council assists companies wishing to register for the export of live aquatic products to China.

In November, it was announced that exports of live snow crab to China would become permitted. However, two criteria must be met before the export of live species can be practically implemented. First, the species must be officially listed as an approved species. Additionally, the producer must submit information to Chinese authorities and be listed on the relevant registry. Note that this registration process differs from the CIFER (Single Window) registration system.

Earlier this autumn, information was collected by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority in collaboration with industry organizations to registrer producers of live aquatic products. Producers included in these submissions do not need to re-register, as snow crab has been added to the list for all companies.

For companies not included in the previous submission and wishing to register for live seafood exports to China, the process can now be followed as described here (The description is in norwegian).
