Norwegian Seafood Council are pleased to invite all to workshop and seminar in Lubumbashi February 25th - 27th. 

Democratic Republic of the Congo is one of Africas most populated countries, and are now, after years of political unrest, stabilized. Norwegian seafood products are in the domestic market, but mostly in the capital Kinsasha. The Norwegian Seafood Council have recently fnished a study on export potential for clipfish and seafood in general to the DRC. Following this report, we now invite you to participate in a workshop and seminar in Lubumbashi. The second largest city in the DRC, with approximately 2.3 million inhabitants. 

Program:

  • Tuesday 25.02.2020: Arrival Lubumbashi before lunch. Market visit and check-in at Hotel Pullman.
  • Wednesday 26.02.2020: Visits to retail stores, followed be a seminar at 01:00 PM with Norwegian and Congolese participants. Dinner will be arranged in the evening.
  • Thursday 27.02.2020: Individual meetings, departure Lubumbashi before noon. 

It is most convinient to travel through Johannesburg when travelling to Lubumbashi. 

The Norwegian Seafood Council can assist with booking tickets and visa. The visa process may take some time, and we ask that you register early.
