Welcome to the Norwegian Seafood Pavilion at World Seafood Shanghai 28 - 30 August, 2019.
The purpose of participating in the World Seafood Shanghai is to promote Norwegian seafood to Chinese buyers and value chain. At the expo, the Norwegian Seafood Council will organize a joint Norwegian Seafood Pavilion with participation of around 20 Norwegian seafood companies.
About World Seafood Shanghai
World Seafood Shanghai (Shanghai Fisheries) has seen a very positive development is seen as the second largest seafood expo in China. Typical exhibitors are importers and processing companies selling downstream in the Chinese market. There is also a growing presence of foreign seafood companies. The expo is suitable for all seafood exporters focusing on the domestic consumption-market in China.
Additional programs
- Salmon forum: The 2nd China Global Salmon Industry Development Forum is hosted by seafood trade media Seafood Guide and will take place at the Shanghai Fisheries expo on the opening day 28 August 13.00 – 17.00. NSC is co-organizing the event and look forward to welcoming Norwegian seafood exporters to attend for updates and panel discussions on the China salmon market.
- Networking event: Norway – China seafood industry networking event, organized by the NSC in collaboration with the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai on the evening of 28 August. The purpose of the event is to facilitate an informal networking arena for the Norwegian and Chinese seafood industry on occasion of Shanghai Fisheries.
- Seafood demo: Norwegian Seafood cooking demonstration will take place on the second day of the expo, 29 August. At the demo, Norwegian salmon, Norwegian Arctic cod and Norwegian mackerel will be further introduced and presented.

Deadline to register for company stands part of the Norwegian Seafood Pavilion has ended. It is still possible to register as a visitor to the expo and take part in additional programs.
