Total pelagic exports reach NOK 2.1 billion in Q1 2017
Norway exported 78,000 tonnes of herring and 68,000 tonnes of mackerel with a total value of NOK 1.7 billion in the first quarter. During the same period, Norway exported pelagic fish worth a total of 2.1 billion. While volume decreased by 6 per cent, the value grew by 7 per cent compared with the first period last year.

Strong value growth for Norwegian salmon exports in Q1 2017
Norway exported 233,000 tonnes of salmon for NOK 16.1 billion in the first quarter. There is a volume increase of 3 percent and an increase of 21 percent, or 2.8 billion from the first quarter last year.

Norwegian whitefish exports total NOK 4.2 billion in Q1 2017
Norway exported 129 000 tonnes of cod, saithe, haddock and other groundfish to a value of NOK 4.2 billion in Q1 2017. This is a 5 per cent increase in terms of volume and a 6 per cent increase in value from the same period last year. The biggest increase was for frozen products, particularly frozen whole fish. But there was also a substantial increase in exports of whole clipfish.

Norwegian seafood exports grew by NOK 2.7 billion in Q1 2017
Norway has exported 636,000 tonnes of seafood worth NOK 24.1 billion in the first quarter of this year. This is an increase of 13 per cent or 2.7 billion compared with the first quarter last year. Volume fell by 7 per cent.

Salmon and trout exports treble in 3 years – NOK 65 billion in 2016
Norway exported salmon worth NOK 61.4 billion in 2016. This is an increase of 29 per cent, or NOK 13.8 billion compared with 2015, and is the highest export value of salmon ever. Measured by volume, Norway exported 980,000 tonnes of salmon in 2016, which is 5.2 per cent or, 53,340 tonnes less than in 2015.

Increased exports of shellfish in 2016
Norway exported 44,000 tonnes of shellfish worth NOK 1.8 billion in 2016. This is a volume increase of 10 per cent and an increase by value of 21 per cent from 2015.

Seafood exports worth NOK 91.6 billion in 2016
Norway exported seafood to a value of NOK 91.6 billion in 2016. It is 23 per cent, or NOK 17 billion more than in the previous record year 2015.

3rd record year in a row for Norwegian whitefish exports
Norway exported cod, saithe, haddock and other whitefish worth NOK 13.8 billion in 2016. This is an increase of 6 per cent, or NOK 800 million from 2015.

Increased exports of pelagic fish in 2016
Norway exported 674,000 tonnes of pelagic fish for NOK 7.8 billion in 2016. There is a volume decrease of 15 per cent and an increase of NOK 11 percent from 2015.

Norway exported seafood worth NOK 7.1 billion in August. This is an increase of 32 per cent or NOK 1.7 billion compared with August 2015. Year-to-date seafood exports currently total NOK 56.3 billion. An increase of 25 per cent or NOK 11.2 billion compared with the same period in 2015.

Continuing strong prices for Norwegian salmon and trout in August 2016.
The price of Norwegian salmon remains high. With an average price of NOK 58 per kg, export values in August were 42 per cent higher than the same month in 2015. Norwegian trout prices have doubled.
