The Norwegian Seafood Council, together with the rest of the seafood industry, is present at Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona!
The expo is a central meeting place for the seafood industry and an important arena to highlight why Norwegian seafood is the best in its class.
The week offers various activities aimed at providing new insights, promoting Norwegian seafood, and exchanging experiences with known and unknown seafood enthusiasts.
Here is more information about some of the events happening in Barcelona:
Monday, 5th May
On Monday morning, the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, Marianne Sivertsen Næss, invites different parts of the seafood industry to breakfast meetings. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries will this year invite separate meetings with the aquaculture industry, the fishing industry, and the supplier industry. Separate invitations will be sent out for these meetings. The meetings will take place at the Hotel Grand Hyatt Barcelona.
On Monday afternoon, Team Norway invites you to a Seafood Seminar, also at the Hotel Grand Hyatt Barcelona. The seminar starts at 17:00 and lasts until approximately 18:30, followed by mingling with refreshments. We already have 250 registered participants. The programme and registration can be found here!
Tuesday, 6th May
The Seafood Expo Global itself takes place over three days: Tuesday (10:00-18:00), Wednesday (10:00-18:00), and Thursday (10:00-17:00). The Seafood Council has its own stand at the Norwegian pavilion where we will highlight the Norwegian origin.
From the Seafood Council, Christian Chramer, Børge Grønbech, our seafood representatives in Spain, Tore Holvik, and in France, Sigrid Louise Philippart, among others, will be present. If you wish to set up a meeting with one of us, you can contact Sverre Sander Stenseth via email at sss@seafood.no or SMS at +47 948 11 574.
We welcome visitors, exhibitors, and their guests to our stand 2F50. On Tuesday, 6th May, the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy will also visit Norwegian exhibitors from 10:00 to 18:00.
